Grant: Mordred doesn't like her father...and anything related to her father. Granted, she is more than willing to accuse her father of this and that, but only her. 

Mr. Agimat: So a bit like Vegeta. 

Saya: When it comes down to it, she wants her father to recognize her. And that's done through battle! 

Amichi: Well, onto the next Servant!

Mr. Agimat: Ryuko Matoi was born to Ragyo Kiryuin and Sochiro Kiryuin...and was basically used as an experiment to infuse a child with Life Fibers, appearing to have died in the process.

Amichi: But Ryuko survived and became a hybrid in the process.

Saya: Taken in by Sochiro, now going by the name "Isshin Matoi," Ryuko basically revealed herself to be a troublemaker and quickly got into heaps of trouble. Especially because her father basically made her move around schools. 

Amichi: One day though, her father called her home...and then died. 

Grant: ...He was killed. And then she decided to look for the killer... Okay, so I have a few questions to ask, but not at the moment? 

Saya: And thus, the story of Kill la Kill was born! As she found her mother and sister too! 

Mr. Agimat: ...And ran around in scantily-clad outfits.

LIFE FIBER HYBRID POWERS

Superhuman Strength
-Without wearing Senketsu, she took out a group of COVERS with a single slash
-The shockwaves from her punches can leave large depressions in stone and send other humans flying
-The force of her Scissor Blade swings can form massive gashes in concrete without even touching it
-Sliced apart two buildings from afar without Senketsu

Mr. Agimat: Due to the combination of being made of Life Fibers...and living in the world of Kill la Kill, Ryuko is...rather strong for her size. Almost to the point of well...destroying a lot of stuff even without Senketsu. 

Amichi: ...Well then.

Superhuman Durability
-With Senketsu, her skin becomes nearly as hard as steel
-Tanked an attack that destroyed an entire tower
-Easily survived an attack meant to disrupt and destroy Life Fibers
-Withstood attacks from Three-Star Goku Uniforms
-Survived a fall from orbit

Grant: Wait, wait, wait... Ryuko barely has anything on how is she able to withstand those attacks? 

Saya: Senketsu. 

Grant: Again how!?

-After getting her heart ripped out, her heart reattached itself to her insides and the wound sealed up a second later

Mr. Agimat: Ryuko happens to be fast enough to both make afterimages along with well... Regeneration. Apparently, it gets stronger the closer she is to death. That's...interesting. 

Saya: I have a healing factor too though, so... 

Amichi: Well, it doesn't get stronger the closer to death you are.

Grant: When it comes down to it, Ryuko's own willpower apparently creates shockwaves...because it's an anime, is able to fight against somebody with no formal training, again it's an anime and finally...could beat up multiple people. 

Saya: Second verse same as the first! 

Mr. Agimat: Don't you mean third? 

Saya: Well...

SCISSOR BLADES

Made of hardened Life Fibers
-Nearly indestructible
-Can easily cut through Goku Uniforms and Kamuis
-Extremely sharp

Decapitation Mode
-Extends the Scissor Blades to twice their original length

Can shrink to the size of a normal scissor
-Used for easy transport

Mr. Agimat: Ryuko's main weapon is the "Scissor Blade," which is one half of a scissor, the other one having been stolen by Nui Harime. 

Amichi: It's made out of hardened Life Fibers, similar to that of Satsuki's weapon and can even extend to twice its length. But it's also possible to shrink down to a normal scissor size. Rather useful all things considered. 

Saya: I agree, I mean, it would be a pain to lug that thing around. 

Grant: So that's what the guitar case was for.

KAMUI SENKETSU

A Kamui is a Goku Uniform made entirely of Life Fibers
-Designed to be skimpy when activated so the Life Fibers don't consume Ryuko by covering too much of her body
-Boosts Ryuko's power to much higher points than a Goku Uniform can
Made by Ryuko's father, Isshin Matoi
-Was specifically designed to be used by Ryuko

Mr. Agimat: One of the more iconic parts of Kill la Kill is that Ryuko reveals much of her body...and this is why. She is the only one who can use Senketsu, made by her father. 

Saya: He is also a living thing, capable of talking to Ryuko giving plans or trying to calm her down. 

Amichi: It also is one of the few characters who you can literally say: "I am crying over clothing." Because well... He died.

When infused with Ryuko's blood, turns into skimpy armor that boosts her abilities
-The Seki Tesso glove allows Ryuko to feed blood into Senketsu without risk to her health

Is a living being
-Acts as a voice of reason to Ryuko's hot-blooded nature
-Can attack someone without being worn

Minor shapeshifting
-Made Senketsu's eye grow out over an entire arena to crush everyone on it
-Can remove pieces of Senketsu and throw them at opponents to attack
-Formed a blade around Ryuko's arm

Thread Manipulation
-Can extend threads from Senketsu to bind opponents, or use her Scissor Blade as a makeshift grappling hook
-The spikes on her skirt can be shot out on threads to anchor Ryuko to the ground

Senketsu Senjin
-Sprouts multiple blades along Senketsu to attack people with
-Lets Ryuko form blades and spikes from Senketsu
-Can form saws from Ryuko's skirt
-Can be used to forms blades out of Ryuko's blood

Senketsu Shippu
-Transforms Senketsu's lower half into a jet
-Allows Ryuko flight

Senjin Shippu
-Combines Senketsu Senjin and Senketsu Shippu's powers
Weakens Ryuko and continuously drains her blood if she's embarrassed by wearing Senketsu

Saya: Senketsu is highlight customizable despite being skimpy, from being able to manipulate his threads for Ryuko's benefit, to helping Ryuko fly or give her blades on his body...or both. 

Mr. Agimat: It also makes her look like Shadow the Hedgehog. 

Amichi: ...Black and red... Huh, that is true. 

Grant: ...Who's Shadow? 

Saya: The Edge!

Grant: But Edge is already in the Station!


Rending Scissors
-The combined form of both Scissor Blades
-Can cut through pretty much anything
-Can enter a Double Decapitation Mode to double their range

-Final Addressed Mode and Decommissioned Mode make the blades of the Rending Scissors grow to extremely large sizes

Mr. Agimat: On a final part of this all, when Ryuko has both Scissor Blades, she has access to being able to cut through nearly anything and... Well, she can make it grow super big. 

Grant: Who's behind this anime!? 

Saya: Same people behind Panty and Stocking and Gurren Laggan. 

Grant: No idea what that is either. 

WEAKNESSES

Isn't a strategist
-Most of her strategies are come up with by Senketsu
Getting embarrassed of Senketsu will weaken her
-Causes Senketsu to continuously drain her blood
-Has all but eradicated this problem
Hot-headed and brash
Banshi threads
-Special threads inside Senketsu
-If all of them are cut, Senketsu will come apart

Mr. Agimat: Despite Ryuko's abilities, she does come with some weaknesses such as the fact that she comes up with plans on the fly. 

Amichi: Senketsu does drain her blood, especially if she gets embarrassed of him, though she eradicated that problem.

Saya: Ryuko is rather brash and hot-headed too...along with the fact that the Banshi threads that exist within Senketsu, if broken, will make Senketsu fall apart. 

Grant: But don't count Ryuko out just yet. After all, she hasn't lost her way yet. 

(Ryuko: I finally get it now. I need to get naked. Putting on a Kamui means becoming one with you! It means you becoming my skin! That's what it means to master wearing you! Isn't that right, Senketsu?)
